These victorian shoe buckles circa 1860's are small ovals composed of riveted cut steel. Look very much like marcasite. Most likely had fabric or ribbon bows under the frames at one time which would be easy enough to replace. Back of the frames have a bar with two holes so they can be sewn onto shoes or use your imagination. Being riveted onto the frames and the domes have 12 facets attests to their age. Nice sparkle in good condition. Each measure about 1 1/2 X 1 inch. Very nice!
