This luxurious jade ring came from the estate of a woman who loved asian art and decor. The home was filled with items from both China and Japan. This ring I was told was one of her favorites obtained during her travels to Asia. Setting is marked 585 for 14K gold. Tested it as true 14K but still picked up slightly in 18K test so it's probably a little better than 14K. Setting has flowers, like Peonies that encircle the stone with many prongs to hold it securely. The cabochon is a bright, light green in the shade of emerald with white undertones. Semi transluscent with marbling of deeper green within, this stone has not been color enhanced and is natural as found in the earth. Only cut and polished. Small size, in a 5 1/2 with a wide shank that could be sized by a reputable jeweler if needed. Jade is 14.5 X 11 mm so it's very noticable on the finger. The length of the setting goes from the bottom of the finger to the start of the knuckle. Excellent condition free of any damage. Total weight of the ring is 5.6 grams.
