A true Russian Alexandrite changes from green to red. This beautiful ring is blue to purple so either this is lab created or perhaps from South America? Either way you'll adore the color change in this stone that in natural light is bluish purple. I've seen it change to deep reddish purple, brown, and teal in artificial light. Simple elegant setting in 10k solid white gold that clutches the emerald cut stone to show it off spectacularly. Marvelous, very good condition with just a tiny bit of wear on the extreme edges of the top of the stone and fine scratches to the gold that you'll only notice with a loupe. Lovely, beautiful ring presently in a size 6 and can be sized up or down by your jeweler if needed. Stone measures 8 X 10 mm and the total weight of the ring is 2.4 grams.
