DREAMJEWELS4U stands behind every item it sells. If you find a return is necessary, no problem! But you must email me at dreamjewels@dreamjewels4u.com to let me know what is wrong with the item within 10 days of receipt along with your name, address and phone number. This way I can process your refund in an organized fashion and you can receive detailed instructions on how to ship the item back. We will not accept returns beyond 10 days of your email letting us know about the return. Late returns will be refused and sent back to you. You must return it in the original gift box and padding. It must be shipped with insurance if the item(s) is over $25.00 and, or Delivery Confirmation. If the item is not defective and is as described, we do charge a 20% restocking fee.
Normally packages ship within 48 hours of receipt of payment by PayPal. Payments received by personal check will ship within 48 hours of clearance of check and in some cases money orders as well may have to wait for clearance. Please read about our return policies and description of conditions below.

We guarantee the item(s) will arrive in good condition. If you have any questions items you are considering please do so before placing your order to help avoid buyers remorse. Vintage WATCHES are not guaranteed for accuracy or jewelry for durability due to their age. I do guarantee items to be as described and genuine unless otherwise stated in the item description. As noted on my home page all items are pre-owned unless otherwise described so expect to show wear and or patina to the finish. Pictures shown are not actual size, the dimensions are shown for each item. I try to describe everything known about the item to help ensure the customer is perfectly clear on what they will be buying.
Vintage usually refers to 1970's or earlier.
MINT:
New, in the box from which it has not been removed as it came from the factory. Rarely if ever used since most of my items are pre-owned. But there are exceptions when sometimes found in an estate or if contemporary pieces.
NEAR MINT:
Appears never worn or used nor stored improperly. It may display it's age by tarnishing, especially if silver.
EXCELLENT:
Top condition free of chips, fading, missing stones, yellowing stones, peeling worn prongs or edging. Backs of items may slightly show wear as long as the front or top displays in top condition. Replaced faux stones should be so perfect in size, cut and color that it is virtually unnoticeable. If gold or silver they may show fine superficial scratches. Natural stones show little to no wear at all.
VERY GOOD:
Well cared for without missing stones, dead stones, graying stones or peeling pearls. Enameled pieces may have minor chips, slight wear or scratching on prongs, edges. Backs will show moderate wear. Replaced faux stones should be of a good match in color, cut and size. In gold or silver jewelry finish may show minor signs of wear from use. Natural stones may have minor scratches and minimal fleabite size chips with very close magnification.
GOOD:
Very wearable and acceptable, however, with close inspection may reveal some poor foiling of stones including peppering, spotting, minor clouding, darkening, graying, chipping, minor yellowing and wear. In gold and silver jewelry, prongs may show wear, repairs may be slightly noticeable but not deter from overall look. Natural stones may exhibit wear to facets or chips upon close inspection.
FAIR:
Damage is immediately visible and may or may not be repairable, might include missing stones, dark stones including more than minor peppering, broken parts and severe wear. In gold and silver jewelry repairs are very noticeable or not done at all. Sold as broken or as is.
In addition these subcatergories may exist, along with appropriate descriptions. ALTERED, REFURBISHED, RECONSTRUCTION, REPAIRED or SOLDERED.
CONDITION VERSUS QUALITY:
Each piece of jewelry is evaluated according to condition. See above. The condition rating does not address the original quality. Jewelry was and is made in all grades of quality. A good amount of jewelry that was inexpensively made has become collectible. Quality is difficult to rate and isn't always apparent in the photos. IF YOUR PURCHASE DOES NOT MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
RETURNS:
Once received if you feel the need to return an item(s) you must contact me for return instructions within ten (10) days (by email) of receipt of your item(s). Returned items must then be received back by us within ten (10) days of the date you contacted us regarding the return. Items must be returned in the same condition as when sent to you. Upon inspection of the returned item(s) I will refund for the purchase price minus shipping and handling and a 20% restocking fee will apply. If returned due to our error only then will the full original purchase price, shipping and insurance will be refunded. Items returned must be sent insured if over $25.00. Items returned COD will be refused. I cannot refund for items returned that do not conform to the above requirements. If payment was by check or money order, a refund check will be sent out to you within 1 to 2 weeks. If payment was made by PayPal a refund can be sent usually within 48 hours of the returned receipt of the item(s).
WHAT IF MY ITEM(S) ARRIVE DAMAGED?
Insurance is optional for total purchases under $25.00. Insurance is necessary for total purchases over $25.00 since I cannot be held responsible for items damaged, lost or misplaced by the United States Postal Service. All items are carefully shipped using precautionary methods and materials to prevent damage or breakage. If despite all my efforts your item(s) arrive damaged you must take the entire order and original packaging to the USPS to file a claim. The USPS will then send a claim to us for processing. Do not repack and do not mail the items back to us. This will void the claim for insurance and we will not be able to give you a refund.
LAYAWAYS AND EXCHANGES:
There are no returns on layaway items which have been paid for over a period of two (2) months. This is due to having the item out of circulation during this time period and losing a possible sale. I will accept the return of layaway items for exchange only and a 20% restocking fee will apply. Only one exchange per item will be allowed. Please read my Layaway page for more information.
