The outside shank of the ring is beveled rather than rounded as most rings. There are no makers or fineness marks on this ring. Tested as silver. My photos do not do this ring justice, it's very pretty and stands high on the finger with the stone appearing captured at the top of a cage. When viewed closely you can see carving marks on the inside of the shells indicating the wax mold that was used to make this ring was hand carved as well as the prongs and curls to each side.
In a size 7, it weighs 3.5 grams and the stone measures 7mm which makes it over a carat in size.
