This gorgeous vintage hand carved ivory bracelet consists of 16 carved ivory rose plaques threaded on elastic cords. The roses have a soft patina and the bracelet is very comfortable to wear. You can see the ivory schreger lines on the inside of the bracelet. Ivory is so flattering to all skin tones and this bracelet, with its multitude of blossoms, is an alluring example of the carver’s art. Has a very Hawaiian look to me, much the look of Leis. In excellent condition, lightly yellowed on the inside from wearing, no chips or cracks. I did have to replace the elastic with light lavender elastic because the old original was very old and stretched out. What I found when I did this is the one of the plaques has larger holes on one side to hide the knots. When you stretch open the bracelet you cannot see them which is a very nice touch. What amazes me about this bracelet is the consistancy of the flowers in both size and design, repeated over and over with such accracy. Size: Inner dimension of entire bracelet is 6-3/4” unstretched and is 3/4” wide, 1/4” deep. It stretches open to about 8-1/2" to get over the hand. It weighs 26.6 grams
