Vintage Coro Sterling Silver Clear Ball Photo WWII Eagle Brooch
Here is a World War II brooch by Coro that features an Eagle with red white and blue enamel and rhinestones. It's made of sterling with gold vermeil.
The eagle pin is not so difficult to find but including the photo ball is rarer. The ball is made of clear lucite with a screw top. When taken apart photos can be inserted and magnified. This was found with two photos of different fellows in their military uniforms. Could be a sweetheart brooch or for mom's with photos of both sons or other family members they wanted to honor. All stones are present. The red stone appear more pink but used to have a clear red stain over it just like the blue stone which is white with clear blue over it. These were made this way and have not been altered. Some of the vermeil is worn off and some tiny wear to the enamel. Measures 1-3/4" long and 1-1/8" wide. The photo ball is about 3/4" wide. Truly a lovely and special piece!
