The beads are handmade, fairly round and flattened. The inside has a pale, light pink core with the copper flakes over it, then encased in clear glass. The contrast is really very pretty.
I've had many Italian glass bead necklaces in the past but this is the first that has French wire wrapped ends. Adds a nice finished touch and added strength to the necklace. This can adjust from 14" to 17". The large beads average about 16mm x 18mm x 10mm. The smaller beads used for adjusting the length are about 8 to 9mm. The findings and hook closure are brass. There are transparent gold spacer beads in-between the larger beads. Made with quality and extra attention to detail. All of the beads have no chips or cracks. The brass is darkened from age. There is a small amount of verdigris here or there on the bead caps but I think will clean easily since it's light. You'll love this in your collection!
