This is a beautifully hand carved ivory Panda Bear Netsuke bead or pendant. It most likely came off a strand of beads. The reverse side has a larger hole on both the top and bottom to allow hiding of a knot. The hole on the outside is much smaller. May not be shipped outside of the US.

Not a small bead, this Panda measures 2" x 1-5/8" and is 5/8" thick and weighs 29.4 grams. Excellent condition without chips or cracks. Has yellowing from age. Top of the head and the bamboo have the best example of the striation and cross hatch pattern in the ivory.
