The front has sky blue enamel that flows into the scalloped framing. Notice St. Christopher is using a staff that is a palm tree. The palm is the attribute of St. Christopher having used an uprooted a palm tree to support himself on his travels. After carrying Christ across the river, he thrust the staff into the ground, whereupon it took root and bore fruit. The reverse side is also very nice with crossed Palms and the words "St. Christopher Protect Us". It measures 7/8" x 5/8". The medal hangs on an endless (no clasp) curb link chain that measures 26" long and 3mm wide. It has a nice weight and is very sturdy so it can be worn every day. Most likely the original chain that came with the medal, it is not sterling. I've tested it and believe the base metal to be nickel with a rhodium finish. In excellent condition with only some fine scratches. The enamel has no chips or cracks. A rare Regina piece, you'll love this one!
